Meet Arthur O’Bryan

Arthur O’Bryan founded Mornington Peninsula Plunge Wine Tours in 2016, the first tour company of its kind to offer specialized and exhaustive coverage of the Mornington Peninsula wine region and its many producers. Arthur has enjoyed a successful career marketing Mornington Peninsula wines and was involved in the establishment of the Pinot South workshops, a national roadshow celebrating the ‘heartbreak grape’ and also the prestigious International Pinot Noir Tasting, SIPNOT.  From 1999 to 2008, he held the position of Marketing Manager at Stonier Wines before a consulting career saw him working for a number of prestige brands and writing extensively on the Peninsula’s food and wine scene.

Hailed as “a well-connected regional authority” by acclaimed UK Independent News Travel Editor, Siobhan Norton, Arthur’s first book, Elgee Park Vineyard, The First Forty Years, was published in 2012.  He is a passionate advocate for the region and Plunge was created specifically for all wine lovers, from the casual wine enthusiast to the seasoned sommelier.

Each tour is expressly designed to demystify what is a complex region, while enhancing the knowledge of those already well immersed in their wine education. A visit with Arthur makes you feel like a well-connected local which is exactly what he is.
