A private Mornington Peninsula wine tour sees a group from the UK enjoy giant crayfish on Balnarring Beach, while wine lovers discover the profound flavours of single vineyard Chardonnay.
Meet Arthur O’Bryan
After years of thoughtful and questing wine tastings, Arthur continues a personal search for the richness and textural wealth of great Mornington Peninsula wine in cellar doors and vineyards across the region.
Arthur founded Plunge Wine Tours in 2016, the first tour company of its kind to offer specialized and exhaustive coverage of the Mornington Peninsula wine region and its top producers from the perspective of a wine industry professional.
Previously Arthur enjoyed a successful marketing career and was involved in the Pinot South Australian roadshow and the prestigious Stonier International Pinot Noir Tasting held in Melbourne, Sydney, and London. For ten years he was Global Brand Manager at Stonier Wines before a consulting career saw him work with several prestige brands and write extensively on the Peninsula’s wine scene. His first book, Elgee Park Vineyard – The First Forty Years, was commissioned by Baillieu Myer AC with a foreword by James Halliday AM.
Described by UK Travel Editor, Siobhan Norton as 'a well-connected regional authority' (Independent News), Arthur is a passionate advocate for the region.
MP Plunge was created specifically for all wine lovers; from the casual wine enthusiast to the seasoned sommelier. Each tour is designed to demystify the complexity of wine, while enhancing the knowledge of those already well immersed in their wine education. A visit with Arthur makes you feel like a well-connected local which is exactly what he is.
