Milton and Isilda are the loving couple behind Mornington Peninsula Chocolates. Before establishing their emporium in Flinders, this creative duo ran a business from their family home in Merricks. On any given day, people could be seen floating down the Frankston-Flinders Road, through the glass doors, over the counter and out the back to indulge in freshly made chocolates.
For any chocoholic, the heady aroma of rich cocoa is is irresistible. Sampling the sublime lime ganache, Kirsch Cerisette, toffee truffle or cherry bomb, all I could ever think was: How in God's name can we get in on the act?
Over a late afternoon bottle of wine, chocolatier Milton came to the party and conjured a brilliant marketing idea; a chocolate ganache using a reduction of Stonier Sparkling Cuvée as the base.
