The Mornington Peninsula Walking and Wine Tour begins with fresh strawberries to calibrate the palate for the Pinot Noirs ahead. We arrive in Red Hill South for a wine picnic in Endeavour Fern Gully- one of the last tracts of temperate rain forest in the region. Afterwards we set off for a 6.5km walk from Red Hill to Merricks, following the original Red Hill railway line (built in 1915) with vineyards alongside and Bass Strait as a backdrop. We finish the walk with a tasting at Stonier and then it's onto the rustic charm of the Somers General for lunch with a glass of wine. Afterwards, we visit Montalto and wander amongst the native bush and wetlands lovingly restored by the Mitchell family. We then head to Coolart to view the best wetlands and bird watching in the Western Port catchment.
We enjoy a morning picnic in the local bushland with lunch and wine tastings throughout the day.
Full-day walking & wine tour includes everything listed
