Jackalope Hotel offers guests private Mornington Peninsula wine tours hosted by Rare Hare’s Winemaker, Geraldine McFaul’s husband, Arthur. Alchemy is the theme that binds Jackalope’s décor and serves as a metaphor in wineries where winemakers are half chemist and half alchemist, making wines for ultimate drinking pleasure.

Arthur takes guests on a half-day or full-day adventure in search of rich and complex wines found in cellar doors across the region. Each tour is designed to introduce you to the best vineyards, winemakers, and wine styles from Red Hill to Moorooduc and everywhere in between. A ‘beyond-the-cellar-door experience’ means you meet winemakers such as Arthur’s wife, Geraldine (pictured) General Manager and Winemaker at Rare Hare while you’re also given deep insight into the food and wine culture of the region.

If you are flying into Melbourne, we can arrange your airport pick-up with a seamless transfer to Jackalope so that in the morning, you wake up in sight of the vineyard, refreshed for the day’s adventure.
